The Kraus Organization Limited is a diversified, privately-owned company whose divisions in book distribution and publishing have been known and respected throughout the world. In August 2007 the divisions Productivity Press and Healthcare Performance Press were acquired by Taylor & Francis, LLC, and in September 2007, the division Worldwide Books was sold to a newly-formed company, Worldwide Books Corporation. The final operating division, Bernan Associates, was sold in February 2008.

The Kraus Organization is an outgrowth of a company founded in 1947 as a dealer of back sets of periodicals, primarily to the college and university library market. As the needs of the academic community grew, Kraus expanded and ultimately established itself as an internationally respected scholarly publisher. Simultaneously, through a series of acquisitions, the company diversified its services to meet contemporary demands for information. After years of successful and profitable business, the company has decided to divest all operating assets.
